WELCOME TO ONGAR CRICKET CLUB
Ongar Cricket Club (www.ongarcricketclub.ie) was formed in 2018. Club is affiliated with Cricket Leinster (www.cricketleinster.ie) and taking part in open competitions from the year 2023 season. Ongar CC now among the top 20 clubs affiliated to Cricket Leinster for highest registrations, with 62 players already signed up for the 2026 season. We are actively looking to gain our own ground in the Dublin 15 area. We are in talks with the Fingal County Council and are confident of gaining our own ground soon. We are proud to have got Ringcommons CC as our partner and play on their fantastic cricket ground with top class facilities that includes net practice and a wonderful clubhouse with indoor games and a well-stocked bar.
A Few Years back in 2017 a bunch of Cricket loving friends got together and started to play friendly cricket in Latchford Ground, situated in the Ongar area. Gradually this attracted people from nearby estates and within a few months we were playing friendly games on weekends. One thing led to another and we ended up with around 40 players by the end of 6 months. We gradually got ourselves involved in Leinster Cricket and this led to few of our players playing for Cricket Leinster Open Divisions. Many of our players now play in Division 8 to Division 16 in the Leinster League. Since then there has been no looking back for us. We have grown strong day by day to be a very big cricket loving club in Dublin 15 area.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB
- Our aim and goal is to extend the support to other sports as well and commit ourselves as Sporting Club rather than only being a Cricket Club.
- Our mission is to make sports accessible to everyone who wants to play by providing the right training, guidance and support which may be required.
- Foster and promote participation of the community in cricket and other sports.
- Honour the Spirit of Sports and encourage appropriate standards of behaviour throughout the club and its shared premises.
- Provide facilities for playing cricket and other sports, coaching and competition
- Manage the shared grounds which are for the use of members of the club and its invited guests only.
