Achievements Ongar Cricket Club

Our Club Jersey was launched by honourable Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. Cricket Leinster President Mr. Pat Banahan also graced the event as one of our chief guests. Minister Jack Chambers, Minister Roderick O’Gorman, Senator Emer Currie, Cllr. Ciaran Dennison, Cllr. Tom Kitt and Mr. Brian O’Rourke were among other dignitaries to grace the event and shower their blessings on the club.

Our teams are performing exceptionally well since our affiliation with Cricket Leinster. We won Division 14 League and Adamstown T20 cup in 2023, won Division 19 League in 2024 and won Minor T20 cup in 2025.

Our club ran weekly training sessions in the local Hansfield ET primary school, with well over 40 children registered for the club’s first ever Smash It National Programmes. It has been sensational to see so much demand for this programme in this area. It is a testament to the hardworking coaches and volunteers from the club who have been instrumental in getting this up and running so quickly. Having such dedicated people within our club is a key factor in building sustainable youth programmes.
